We had the discussion if the role of social media is grossly overestimated.
Many of us disagreed. It is easier to communicate with eachother, the whole world knows what's happening, the social media is accessible for everyone and it's cheap. No phone costs, only internet costs. Whenever you want to get more information you can go on a social media to look it up. You can find people with the same interests as you on the internet and have a nice chat with them. If there has happened something dramatic, most people tweet it. So we're all quickly up-to-date.
